First, please make sure you run the latest version of b2een.


If you installed b2een for Windows, you will find a text file called "RunningAsAService.ReadMe" in the b2een installation directory. This should help you get started.

Before you configure b2een as a service you need to run it manually at least once. This allows b2een to upgrade any existing installation data (messages, subscriptions etc.).


If you are running with a custom data location already then you need to tell b2een about this location before it starts. This will require you edit the file wrapper.conf:


On Windows the parameter is already defined:

# My Documents/My Amalto/...



so simply change it to:

# Custom location ...



Once you are happy that b2een is working when started manually you can move onto configuring it as a service.
