Your Master Password is encrypted and stored on your local disk. Depending on the b2een version you are running, there may or may not be a way to retrieve your Master Password

You are running b2een 3.x

If you can not remember what your Master Password is, do as follows:

  • stop b2een if it is running (normally, it shouldn't...)
  • find the recovery-phrase.txt file in your b2een "conf" folder, normally located:
    • in your "My Documents\My Amalto\b2een Dataset\conf" folder if you are using Windows
    • in your "HD:\Users\[your user]\b2een\conf" folder if you are using Mac OSX
    • ...or elsewhere if you have changed the default location during the installation process
  • open the recovery-phrase.txt file and follow instructions

You are running b2een 2.x

There is no way to retrieve it if you have lost it.
